Amazon reveals Prime Amount for the first time: 100M members Worldwide and counting

Amazon’s fast-shipping Prime program has over 100 million members globally, the company said this day, showing the amount for the first time. With a price of $99 annually — or $12.99 a month — which means Amazon is bringing in at least $9.9 billion each year in subscription fees. Amazon said it shipped over 5 billion Prime items globally, and more new members joined the application globally and from the U.S. last year than any previous year. Amazon broke out the amount of paid Prime members to the first time in its yearly shareholder letter Wednesday. Creating story, more to come.
