Coinstar and Amazon to Allow customers deposit cash to Amazon accounts at coin-counting kiosks

Customers looking to add cash to their Amazon balance have a new alternative. Amazon now announced an integration using Coinstar, which will be adding Amazon Cash deposit capacity in its coin-counting kiosks. Amazon Cash debuted last season also lets individuals pay for products on its website with no necessity to get a credit/debit card or bank accounts, and with no fees. Now at pick Coinstar kiosks with bill acceptors, clients can deposit paper bills (not coins) into their Amazon Cash accounts for any amount between $5 and $500. There are no fees required to utilize the new company, which merely needs a phone number to get an Amazon Cash account. Bellevue, Wash.-based Coinstar anticipates around 5,000 kiosks to have the capacity at the end of the year. It is rolling out the attribute at select grocery stores in the northeast. Launched in 1991, Coinstar functions almost 20,000 kiosks. The company was formerly owned by Outerwall, that was   acquired by Apollo Global Management in 2016. Coinstar continues to incorporate new capabilities to its kiosks. Last month it announced an integration with all Seattle startup doxo  that lets people pay bills at the kiosks.
