The ACLU and approximately three dozen other businesses are looking for Amazon to quit selling facial recognition technology — called Rekognition — to police departments.

At a letter made public by the ACLU on Tuesday, the civil liberties organizations “demand that Amazon stop powering a government surveillance infrastructure which poses a grave danger to communities and customers throughout the country. ”
