Amazon Prime Video Is Coming into Comcast’s Xfinity X1 Cable Boxes

Comcast along with Amazon said Thursday they’ve formed a venture to deliver Amazon’s Prime Video service onto Comcast’s Xfinity X1 set-top box, also the hottest uneasy alliance between the cable business and online-video suppliers.

The Amazon Prime Video program will arrive on X1 “after this calendar year,” the firms mentioned, without even offering a more particular date. Once that happens, Xfinity customers will have easier access on their TV sets to Amazon’s original shows like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel along with Goliath and that Jeff Bezos favorite, The Expanse.
